Active Noise Cancellation/Equalization
Leaff is actively working on several algorithms for noise cancellation in different scenarios:
- automotive: noise reduction with beamforming for hands-free speech communications;
- narrow-band noise equalization: creation of "quiet zones" reducing the low frequency tonal noise induced by engines (automobiles, yacths, helicopters, airplanes etc.).

Application: Luxury Yachts
BJ44-PH is a high quality daughter board specifically designed and used for ANC applications in critical scenarios where accuracy and excellent microphone preamplifiers are mandatory.
The algorithm reaches a remarkable attenuation creating a "Comfort zone" of about 1 meter around the head. The noise has a tonal charachteristic with components at very low frequencies.

Improves communication between the front and the rear passengers in large motor vehicles.

Application: Headrest Noise Cancellation for Automotive/Aircraft Application
Improves intra-cabin communications, speech intelligibility and travelling comfort creating a zone of "silence" around the passenger's head.
Performances can vary depending on the noise characteristic, space limitations - i.e. loudspeaker size, sensor positioning etc..
Algorithms can be tuned to reach best results in compliance with customer constraints.
